2 Seasons, 2 race teams, 4 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars, 5 liveries, 4 racing suits and a whole lot of podiums!!! 

During 2023 and 2024, I had an opportunity to document Pro race car driver Ashley Freiberg’s return to full-season racing. Capturing editorial and portrait content, I photographed several races in Ashley’s 2023 championship-winning season and her 2024 3rd place overall finish while racing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America series. 

Looking to create assets for Ashley’s social media and marketing needs, as well as footage for her main sponsors: Yokohama Tire, Mobil 1, Porsche Motorsports & Shift Up Now. Ashley and I devised a creative plan and built a media library for each race so that she could pull content for whatever her needs were. The importance of incorporating my clients and subjects throughout the process ensures the trust they’re putting in me creatively, and meeting any marketing expectations. 

Determined more than ever to keep the momentum going in 2024, Ashley moved into the 992 class of the Porsche 911 GT3 car. Ashley and I continued working together and self-funded as much of the media capture as I could muster. There were a few changes for Ashley throughout 2024, including a mid-season switch of race teams, new cars, and new sponsors. With continued help where they could give it, Ashley’s lead sponsor, Yokohama Tire and team owner Victoria Thomas of KellyMoss Racing, provided additional support for me to come out to most of Ashley’s races in 2024. 

For 2025, Ashley has progressed to the top tier of Porsche one-make racing series in North America. Competing in a very tight and highly competitive field of drivers in the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup North America, the stakes have only risen. Despite new challenges, Ashley continues to be cool and calm under pressure as her tenacious personality will not let anything get in the way of her passion for racing. These images represent 2 years of working directly with a driver, the race teams, and the brands that sponsor them to document a journey of successes and hurdles that happen on any given race day.
